We have been told down here by the "mouse" that they are converting to cyan tracks as from next month. Does anyone know of any companies there that sell the converter kits for the Bauer U3. Also has anyone had any "experience" with the JAX LIGHTS.

Pretty much all the film companies will convert to cyan tracks by first part of next year.
MGM already has, Disney will in Jan, Dreamworks just released Surviving Christmas in Cyan. Jax Light is better than nothing, but if you want quality sound reproduction, it is not the solution. I would check with the following companies: Component Engineering Kelmar Systems Bay Area Cinema Products (BACP) If none of the above carry what you need, they can probably tell you who does. See more about Cyan tracks here: http://www.dyetracks.org/ Good luck. |

I have Kelmars and they are working great so far.

We have installed JaxLites in 2 of our six cinemas so far. We like them and they seem sufficient for our needs. We are running analogue with SMART MOD VI's.
