So are any small theatres going to get to show this or will it go to THX only theatres?

Anyone got any ideas or know the details?

Don't you think that Fox will put it on any screen that will meet their terms so they can get huge numbers. Has anyone heard the terms on this yet?

Terms will be high. I have not heard anything about them doing the THX sound fiasco they tried to pull a few years back. I just can't imagine any film company imposing such standards. They would cut themselves out of too much revenue.

I'm a small town. I played the past two on the break. At the time, I had mono sound. So, it comes down to how good of job your booker is doing.
The Star Wars pic's are only good for 10 days of biz. Then the fanatics are done, and no one else cares. This time around I think we have plenty of film to choose from, so I don't care if I play it or not. I get tired of being jerked around by Fox over these turkeys and putting up my first born as part of the terms.

Besides, THX is dead anyway. No one bothers with it anymore.

I have a great relationship with Fox. Their terms are the best of any other film company on most of their pictures except for 'blockbusters' like Star Wars.

Star Wars is indeed a 10 day grosser. It has it's own fan base and the interest from scifi fans in general. That's about it. It adds up nationwide but is a small percentage of moviegoers in alot of places - especially small towns.

I wasn't clear......I only get jerked around by Fox on the Star Wars pics.....as do most exhibs.
No problems on the rest of their release's.

Several other guys I know that have small towns feel the same as I do about SWIII. They can take it or leave it.
