France is taking cell phone abuse seriously. Those who refuse to stay off their phones in theatres, for example, could get their signals jammed. The right to install signal-blocking equipment (at about $7300 per building) is now legal in France. Could a similar law pass in the U.S.?

It's not that expenisve to buy the jammer, although it is currently illegal. But society is doing worse things without people knowing about it so just install the jammer but don't tell anyone.
